Underglaze on porcelain slip over BRT clay (165mm H x 95mm dia)
Tsankawi is the site of ancient Pueblo dwellings hidden deep in the hills of New Mexico outside Albuquerque. These ruins are accessed via old worn pathways (some forming deep grooves into the rock) and ladders, across hillsides and cliff faces. Yellow Chamisa bushes dot the edges of ridges overlooking the vast surrounding landscape; a patchwork of oranges and pinks set beneath a classic New Mexican sky.
